Geny Moreno, Mind-Body Medicine Practitioner leads a series of 4 sessions for young adults, ages 24 and below, who are experiencing symptoms of Dysautonomia. See details and the outline below:

Resilient Warriors: Regaining Control Through Mind-Body Mastery for Dysautonomia

Week 1, June 13th: Introduction to Mind-Body Medicine and Mindfulness
- Overview of mind-body medicine and its potential benefits for dysautonomia
- Understanding the mind-body connection and how thoughts, emotions, and stress can impact physical health
- Introduction to mindfulness and its role in self-regulation
- Basic mindfulness practices (e.g., breath awareness, body scan)
 
Week 2, June 20th: Stress Management and Relaxation Techniques
- Understanding the stress response and its impact on the autonomic nervous system
- Progressive muscle relaxation
- Guided imagery and visualization
- Meditation practices for relaxation (e.g., body scan, loving-kindness meditation)

Are you looking for ways to improve your brain health and mental well-being? Dr. Ruan's Group Visits are the perfect way to take the first step in that journey! Every Thursday morning at 11:30 AM, Dr. Ruan dives into common triggers of brain and mental health related issues and provides valuable tools we use in our clinic to address root causes. Brain Train group sessions provide an inspiring atmosphere where you can gain knowledge about yourself, attain solutions, and walk away with action items for conquering your individual obstacles. Members are able to share personal experiences, offer strategies that are working for them, and share challenges in order to receive support in a safe, group space. Many of our members leave with new hope, as they become aware of lifestyle changes they may implement to improve their brain and mental health. So join us on Thursdays as we explore how best to train our brains for success and overall wellness!

Discover powerful tools in Mind-Body Medicine sessions that will help you develop your resiliency to stressful situations and control your emotional responses while learning to manage and express emotions. Patients who attend mind-body session in our clinic discover better ways of coping and practice consistent self-awareness, which we have seen improve their physical and mental well-being. The mind is so intricately connected to the body, so much so that it is can be challenging to prevent and heal chronic illness without engaging in mindfulness practices and working on the mental aspects of healing.

 

Geny currently leads in-person group sessions including breathwork, Tai-Chi, and meditation. Her sessions allow members to hold space for one another, express the thoughts that are showing up for them in a non-judgmental space, and learn mind-body medicine skillsets that can be used for a lifetime.

Such skills when put to use consistently have been proven to reap physical benefits, such as reduced stressed, improved immune function, improved digestion, and stabilized vital signs in seasons of stress. They also increase emotional resiliency, preparing members to face storms that life may bring with strength and grace.

Nutrition Group coaching sessions with Ruben, Registered Dietitian, provide an interactive approach to learning how to eat in a healthy and non-restrictive manner. These sessions are designed to help members decrease inflammatory foods in their diets that could be impeding their health progress. During each session, Ruben opens the floor for questions and allows members to share their struggles, ideas, and progress. Every meeting is tailored to the needs of the group so that everyone can get the most out of it.

Whether you are trying to lose weight, reduce chronic health issues, manage symptoms, prevent metabolic and immune issues, or simply improve your overall health, group coaching provides plenty of empowering tools. 

During these interactive visits, members are taught how to eat in a healthy and non-restrictive manner using our very easy-to-follow and non-restrictive meal guide. Many of our members find that having this helpful structure helps them understand ideal portions of each food group based on their goals and takes a ton of the confusion out of planning their meals. The best part is that they are able to learn and grow together, with like-minded members striving to improve their health!

Autoimmune group coaching visits are led by Dr. Cheng Ruan and cover a variety of topics, including the common triggers involved in the development of autoimmune responses, tools to manage and reduce symptoms related to autoimmune disease, lifestyle changes shown to improve symptoms and heal chronic inflammation, and of course group share and community support.

When it comes to managing autoimmune conditions, it can feel extremely overwhelming, as symptoms may range and flare ups may seem to come out of nowhere, robbing one from living their best quality life. In group visit sessions, we strive to provide you with evidence-based healing strategies and meaningful community support to learn, grow, and walk through your healing journey with guidance and support. 

Dr. Cheng Ruan leads these group visit sessions that educate members about the symptoms, background, triggers of POTS, and symptom management strategies for those struggling with dysautonomia/POTS. 

We understand how difficult and even debilitating the symptoms of Dysautonomia may be, and we are committed to providing you with evidence-based tools and resources to manage your symptoms and live your best life.

 

Dysautonomia is quite a complex condition that can be difficult to diagnose and manage. In our group visits, Dr. Ruan will provide you with a comprehensive overview of Dysautonomia/POTS, including background information, common symptoms, root causes, and management tips. He will also discuss alternative healing methods, organizations we collaborate with, and lifestyle changes that can help alleviate your symptoms, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, and more.

At TCLM, we understand that weight management and metabolic health are essential for maintaining a healthy lifestyle, but we have seen how much confusion the weight loss industry and fad diet culture has created. We also know that it is such a mental battle for many when it comes to maintaining a positive relationship with food while trying to reach health goals.

In order to clear up the confusion for our members while providing education about the reality of weight loss and metabolic health, we have created group visit sessions that will cover all of the factors involved in metabolic health!

Our weight loss/metabolic health group visit sessions are led by Dr. Cheng Ruan. Sessions are designed to provide you with comprehensive education, support, and motivation to help you reach your weight loss and metabolic health goals.

During our group visit sessions, you'll have the opportunity to connect with other individuals who are on a similar journey to improve their health. Our providers will discuss practical strategies for healthy eating, physical activity, stress management, and sleep hygiene. We understand that living with diabetes can be challenging, which is why we offer group visit sessions tailored to provide you with comprehensive education, realistic behavior changes, and community support to begin stepping into your healthiest, whole self, one step at a time!

Our Diabetes group visit sessions are led by Gardner Mack, NP. At TCLM, we are committed to helping you manage your health in a holistic manner, and helping you decrease the need for reliance on medication. However, we respect each individual's journey and the pace by which they are able to make changes.

The great part is, you don't have to walk through this challenging journey alone! These group sessions are designed to provide you with a safe space to connect with other individuals living with diabetes and learn about practical strategies for diabetes management.

During our group visit sessions, you'll have the opportunity to learn about lifestyle management tools, behavior changes, medication management, stress reduction tools, and more. Gardner will also provide you with personalized guidance on how to manage, he will answer questions and allow group members to share their experiences. You'll have access to a supportive community of individuals who understand the challenges of living with diabetes and can offer support and encouragement along the way!

So many people are dealing with invisible, yet debilitating and painful symptoms of Fibromyalgia. However, this community is often left with few solutions and very minimal support, tools, or hope for healing, as this condition is often misunderstood, misdiagnosed, and difficult to treat with the traditional level of care.

Therefore, Dr. Cheng Ruan is excited to bring the latest evidence-based tools, education, and consistent support to those who are suffering silently.

Fibromyalgia and Chronic Pain Group Sessions here at TCLM are designed to provide you with a safe space to connect with other individuals living with fibromyalgia and chronic pain and learn about practical strategies for symptom management as well as tools to address root causes to find lasting healing.

During our group visit sessions, you'll have the opportunity to learn about lifestyle management tools, behavior changes, diagnostic tools, and practitioners we work with to get to the root cause of this complex condition.

Dr. Ruan will discuss the latest research on fibromyalgia and chronic pain management and provide you with personalized guidance on how to manage your symptoms. You'll have access to a supportive community of individuals who understand the challenges of living with chronic pain and can offer support and encouragement along the way.

We believe in a holistic approach to healthcare that focuses on treating the WHOLE person, not just the symptoms. Our Fibromyalgia & Chronic Pain group visit sessions are designed to empower you to take control of your health and make positive changes that will benefit you in the long run. You'll receive education and support to help you manage your symptoms, reduce your pain, and improve your overall quality of life!

Sessions at 1:30 PM on Tuesdays are dedicated to our Medicare population!

Hypermobile Group Visits are a great place to start if you are struggling with connective tissue issues, chronic pain, fascia tightness, posture issues, or have received a diagnosis of EDS (Ehlers Danlos Syndrome) and don't know where to start! Dr. Cheng Ruan delves into the root causes of hypermobile issues and symptoms that result from over-extension and poor posture. 

We often have expert guest speakers who join us in these groups to share tools and healing methods they offer to manage pain, correct fascia and posture issues, and provide stability to structures that improve pain. Last week, we were happy to have a chiropractor who treats EDS and hypermobility via specific adjustments and intricate therapies. 

Because of the nature of integrative care, we are always seeking answers to get to the root cause of disease. Therefore, we have an extensive collaborative network of experts and specialists who join us to resolve symptoms and root causes of disease. Hypermobility and EDS are complex disorders that many physicians know very little about. We are excited to continue to grow our network and tools to not only manage pain but find lasting solutions for our patients struggling with hypermobility.
